Our History
In Ichalkaranji, a town in Maharashtra,well-known for its textile industry, my brother and I started our business in 2019. Our decision to enter the cold-pressed oil industry was motivated by our common goal of promoting natural, healthier substitutes for the refined oils that are currently dominating the market.
We began small, pooling our resources to acquire basic cold-press equipment and sourcing high-quality seeds—groundnuts, sesame, and coconuts from local markets. Our original setup was in a little shed at home, where we pressed our first batches. It was difficult in the beginning to persuade clients to convert from cheaper, mass-produced oils to our premium, unprocessed offering. We depended on word-of-mouth, giving away free samples at local markets and emphasising the health benefits of cold-pressed oils, such as improved nutrient retention and no chemicals.


By mid-2020, we had a loyal customer base that consumed approximately 50 litres each month. Encouraged, we put every penny back into the business. We upgraded our equipment and recruited a person to manage pressing and packaging. Social media was a game changer for us; we showed our method, provided client testimonials, and offered doorstep delivery. This clarity increased trust, and our sales soared to 250 litres by 2021.
Scaling requires more strategy. In 2022, we expanded our product line with almond and castor oils, targeting health-conscious urban consumers beyond Ichalkaranji. By 2023, we hit 300 liters monthly, thanks to consistent quality and a growing reputation.
By 2024, five years from our humble start, we reached 500 liters per month. It was more than just sales; it was about building a brand that people trusted. From a shed to a thriving small business, our experience in Ichalkaranji taught us about resilience, inventiveness, and the power of community. We’re not stopping here; the goal is to keep growing, one bottle at a time.
